Job summary

FairPrice Group in Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager to lead day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centre, ensuring efficient inbound, storage, and outbound activities while maintaining product freshness, quality, and service levels.

You will manage a team of over 20 staff, collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Quality Assurance and Finance, and drive continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with SOPs, ISO standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make swift, decisive decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in cold room warehouse operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods in the Distribution Centre.
• Drive KPIs such as productivity, turnaround time, order fulfilment, and on-time delivery.
• Lead a team of 20+ staff including supervisors and contractors; manage performance and safety.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, cold chain, SOPs, and ISO audits.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Quality Assurance and Finance; prepare operational reports.
