Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and organized Assistant Operations Manager to support the daily management of our food processing facility and business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee workflow efficiency, manage stock control, lead kitchen supervisors, and ensure all daily activities comply with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) food safety protocols.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day food production schedules and resource allocation.
- Supervise the production team and kitchen supervisors to maintain consistency, quality control, and strict adherence to established sauce processing flowcharts.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels of raw ingredients (e.g., aromatics, sauces, dry spices) and packaging materials, coordinating timely logistics with suppliers.
- Ensure the facility operates under the highest hygiene standards, executing and reviewing daily cleanliness logs and refrigerator/chiller temperature monitoring checklists.
- Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks on the ground, maintain precise production records, and step in to handle managerial duties during the Operations Manager's absence.
- Liaise across departments to streamline order fulfillment for delivery and distribution, ensuring seamless communication within the operational team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity within the F&B, food manufacturing, central kitchen, or catering sectors.
- Strong understanding of SFA food establishment regulations, licensing requirements, and food safety management systems (HACCP or ISO 22000 is a plus).
- Excellent leadership, team coordination, and critical thinking skills to manage ground-level operational challenges effectively.
- Strong communication skills to handle cross-team coordination and vendor relations efficiently.
- Proficient in basic digital applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel) for inventory logging and administrative record-keeping.
- Flexibility to work shift hours, weekends, or public holidays based on production demands.
