Job summary

Molycop Singapore Trading Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Freight Specialist to support ocean freight and logistics operations.

You will manage shipment documentation, update systems like D365, coordinate information flow, and assist the Freight team with administrative tasks under the guidance of Freight Managers. Requires 5 years of shipping administration or related experience, strong knowledge of shipping processes, and English plus Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, maritime studies or related.
• At least 5 years of experience in shipping administration, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination.
• Strong knowledge of shipping processes and documentation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
• Breakbulk and container experience valued.
• English and Mandarin languages required.
• Good systems skills including MS Excel and D365.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ship Broker/Agent background valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain complete shipping documentation for bulk and container shipments.
• Review shipping documents for completeness before submission to Freight Managers.
• Verify Bill of Lading drafts against contractual and Letter of Credit requirements.
• Coordinate applications for COO, CCIC and other regulatory documentation.
• Prepare shipment advice packages and distribute approved documentation.
• Monitor original Bills of Lading availability and coordinate release requirements.
• Prepare draft LOIs and supporting documentation for approval.
• Maintain accurate shipment records.
• Process freight invoices, service provider invoices, Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
• Follow up on invoice processing and payment status.
• Prepare weekly shipment status reports.
• Support freight claims administration and documentation.
