SPD Scientific is seeking an FP&A Data Analyst to lead data-driven budgeting and forecasting, and to build dashboards that illuminate key financial trends for leadership. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of FP&A or finance analytics experience.
• SQL to extract and aggregate data from relational databases.
• Excel modelling, pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Data-Backed Budgeting & Forecasting: lead budget, rolling forecasts and scenario planning using driver-based models.
• Build and maintain forecasting models (volume, price, mix, cost) and validate assumptions against actual data.
• Run variance analysis and explain drivers behind gaps.
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards explaining revenue, gross margin, opex and cash to leadership.
• Automate recurring monthly reporting to shorten the reporting cycle.
• Document KPI logic and dashboard caveats for reproducibility.
