Job summary

TP ICAP Group is seeking an APAC AI Lead Engineer – Global Broking to drive AI-enabled productivity improvements for Global Broking desks across APAC. You will collaborate with brokers, desk heads and business managers to automate workflows, reduce manual effort and support faster decision-making through practical AI solutions.

You will report to APAC Global Broking leadership with alignment to TP ICAP architecture, security and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software/AI engineering, automation, data engineering or technology delivery within regulated environments.
• Strong practical experience designing and delivering solutions using large language models, AI agents, workflow automation, and API-based integrations.
• Ability to work directly with front-office users, translating business requirements into pragmatic technology solutions.
• Strong governance, architecture review, security-by-design, testing, production deployment and operational support requirements.

Role Overview

The APAC AI Lead Engineer – Global Broking is a business-aligned technology leadership role responsible for identifying, designing and delivering AI-enabled productivity improvements for Global Broking desks across APAC. The role will work directly with brokers, desk heads and business managers to automate workflows, reduce manual effort, improve information discovery and support faster decision-making through practical AI solutions.

The role will operate under a dual reporting model, with primary accountability to APAC Global Broking leadership for business priorities and outcomes, and a secondary reporting line to the Global AI Lab / Technology leadership to ensure alignment with TP ICAP architecture, security, risk, production and AI governance standards.

Role Responsibilities

Desk-Level Productivity & Business Engagement

• Partner with APAC brokers,deskheadsandbusiness managerstoidentifyhigh-valueproductivity,automationandworkflow improvement opportunities.
• Develop a deep understanding of front-office workflows, desk-specific pain points,informationflowsandrepetitive manual processes.
• Translate business requirements into practicalAI,automationandworkflow solutions that can betested,governedandscaled.
• MaintainaprioritisedAPACAI opportunity pipeline, including expected benefits, deliverystatus,dependenciesandbusiness ownership.

AI Solution Design & Development

• Design, prototype and deliver AI-enabled tools, agents, applications and workflow automations using approved TP ICAP platforms and development standards.
• Develop solutions across areas such as broker preparation,marketcolouraggregation,document automation, research support, data extraction,workfloworchestrationandcross-system information retrieval.
• Use approved enterprise platforms and tools, including AWS Quick, AWS Kiro, Microsoft 365 / Copilot ecosystem, internalAIplatformsandother approved development environments.
• Apply appropriateengineeringdiscipline,including architecture, code management, documentation, testing,operationalsupport,production-readiness controls & risk management.

Delivery, Adoption & BenefitsRealisation

• Lead the delivery of APAC AI use cases from discovery and prototyping through to production deployment and desk adoption.
• Define clear business outcomes,benefitsmeasuresandadoption plans for each use case.
• Work with desk sponsors to ensure solutions are embedded into day-to-day workflows and deliver measurable productivity improvement.
• Support APAC AI enablement sessions, pilots,workshops,hackathonsanduser engagement activities.

Governance, Risk & Technology Alignment

• Ensure all AI solutions are developed in line with TP ICAP technology, architecture, security,data,riskandcompliance requirements.
• Maintain full visibility of APAC AI solutions for Technology, Architecture, Security, Risk and Compliance stakeholders.
• Support required AI risk assessments, solution documentation, architectural reviews,productionapprovalandsupport arrangements.
• Escalaterisks,dependenciesandblockers promptly through both the business and technology reporting lines.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary APAC Global Broking AI engineering lead and point of coordination between business desks, AILab,Technologyandsupport functions.
• Build strong working relationships with regional and global stakeholders across Global Broking, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance and HR.
• Represent APAC Global Broking in relevant global AIforums,pilotsandcommunities of practice.
• Share reusable patterns, lessons learned and successful use cases across APAC and global teams.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in software engineering, AI engineering, automation, data engineering or technology delivery within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Strong practical experience designing and delivering solutions using large language models, AI agents, workflow automation, RAG /knowledgeretrievalandAPI-based integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with front-office or business users, translating commercial requirements into pragmatic technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of technology governance, architecture review, security-by-design, testing,productiondeploymentandoperational support requirements.
• Experience with Python, APIs, cloud platforms, source control, CI/CDand structured documentation.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, AWS Quick, Microsoft Copilot / M365 integration, Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint, dataextractiontoolsorworkflow automation platforms wouldbeadvantageous.
• Knowledge of interdealer broking, capital markets, wholesalefinancialmarketsorfront-office operating models wouldbeadvantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
