Job summary

Harper is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Singapore. You will partner with enterprise teams to learn workflows, design AI solutions, and build production-grade agents integrated with customer systems and APIs.

You will deliver deployments on the client side, run workshops, and write robust integrations while collaborating with internal Product and Engineering teams to evolve shared tools and documentation.

What You'll Do

This is not traditional product engineering. You are paired directly with enterprise teams: you learn their workflows, design the AI solution, and build the agents that go into production.

• Partner with customers to find the operational problems worth solving.
• Turn complex, ambiguous problems into technical designs, then implement them.
• Deliver the platform on the customer's side, guiding them on best practices.
• Build AI agents integrated with customer systems and APIs.
• Run workshops with client teams.
• Write production-grade code for integrations and workflows.
• Manage deployments with reliability and performance as your responsibility.
• Test against real data and iterate fast.
• Work with the internal Product and Engineering teams, and contribute back to shared tools and documentation.

Who You Are

• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering, with production systems you built and scaled.
• Platform integration experience: APIs, cloud infrastructure, MCP, data flows.
• Strong technical problem-solving, and comfortable in front of customers owning an ambiguous problem.
• Excellent communication and a high-ownership mindset.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Team-first: this is a small, low-ego, ship-fast team, and chemistry weighs as heavily as competence.
• Great if you have: forward-deployed or solutions engineering background; AI agent or automation work; fast-growth startup experience; cloud fluency; TypeScript, Go, or Python.
