Job summary

JMC Talent Search Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Front Line Service Assistant to support daily foodservice operations at the counter, ensuring smooth service and friendly guest interactions.

You will assist with menu preparation, garnishing, counter presentation, cleanliness, and safety compliance, and serve customers promptly. Training will be provided; F&B experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent qualification.
• Positive and service-oriented attitude.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• F&B experience is an advantage, but not required.
• Strong customer service mindset, with a professional and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus and ensure food garnishing, counter temperature, displays, and price tags are ready 15 minutes before meals.
• Keep food counters and displays clean, neat and tidy at all times.
• Serve customers promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness of areas around food counters, floors, walls, counters and equipment.
• Ensure hygiene and safety standards per client and government regulations.
• Serve food in assigned plates/holding receptacles in the approved portions.
• Attend weekly service meetings to improve service level.
• Handle customer feedback and report actions to Unit Manager after each meal.
• Ensure safe operation of cleaning equipment and report faults.
• Wear provided uniform and maintain neat professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Catering Assistant.

Job Description:

Ensure the smooth operations required at the front line operations in foodservice/counter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all of the following: Menu planned, Foodgarnishing, Counter temperature, Food displays, Serving gears, Merchandisingposters, and Price tags are ready 15 minutes before meals time.
• Ensure that all food counters and displays area are clean,neat and tidy at all times.
• Ensure that all customers are served promptly and duly.
• Ensure that all areas around food counters are clean andspotless including floors, walls, counters and equipment.
• Ensure that food served during meal times are prepared anddished out according to the hygiene and safety regulations required bycorporate standards and governmental regulations.
• Serve food in the assigned plates or holding receptaclesin the portions approved by the client to customers during meal times.
• Attend weekly service meetings to improve and enhance service level.
• Handle customers' feedback duly and ensure that all actions taken are reported to the Unit Manager after each meal.
• Ensure the safe operation of all cleaning equipment and report to the management of any faulty equipment.
• Responsible to wear the uniform that is provided and to maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Perform all other duties as and when assigned by SeniorCatering Assistant.
