Job summary

Migrantlink Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a diligent Kitchen Support to maintain cleanliness, handle groceries, and prepare materials for practical lessons. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet school needs. You will receive items from suppliers, store them properly, and assist teachers with lesson setup and inventory checks.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen cleanliness & upkeep: daily cleaning, stoves and work areas kept food-free.
• Grocery procurement & receiving: assist with ordering, receiving, packing and storing groceries.
• Lesson preparation: set up ingredients and equipment before practical lessons.
• Stock-taking & inventory management: ensure equipment returned, cleaned and stored; report repairs or replacements.

Job Scope:

• Kitchen Cleanliness & Upkeep
  • Daily Cleaning: Sweep and mop kitchens daily, particularly after practical lessons, and ensure stoves and working units remain clean and food-free.
  • Equipment & Appliance Care: Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and four refrigerators.
• Grocery Procurement & Receiving
  • Ordering Support: Receive briefs from teachers regarding practical requirements, packaging, and necessary equipment.
  • Receiving & Storing: Receive grocery deliveries from suppliers (e.g., NTUC, Giant, Sheng Siong, Heng's Minimart), check items against receipts, pack food accordingly, and store them in refrigerators.
• Lesson Preparation
  • Ingredient & Equipment Setup: Prepare and portion out food ingredients before practical lessons, and lay out required equipment for students.
• Stock-Taking & Inventory Management
  • Equipment Accounting: Ensure all equipment is returned, cleaned, and properly stored after lessons, and assist teachers in accounting for sharp tools (e.g., knives, peelers).
  • Hardware Maintenance: Organize equipment cupboards, inspect for faulty items, discard non-fixed assets upon coordinator approval, and report items requiring repair or replacement.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Professional Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
