Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS) is seeking an FLIGHT DECK Intern to assist in Kaizen events, train teams, and help set up Flowlines and Andons on the shop floor. You will develop Standard Work, apply problem solving, and contribute to Daily Management while observing and collecting data.

The role emphasizes lean principles, strong communication, and hands-on learning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at our Singapore site.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of Kaizen events and trainings.
  • Support the setup of Flowlines and Andons through the development of Standard Work, Problem Solving and Daily Management.
  • Conduct shop floor observations and collect key data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to drive measurable performance.

Job Description Summary

As a FLIGHT DECK Intern, you will work closely with our FLIGHT DECK specialists to support our site transformation journey, helping to create Flow Lines, shape how products move and processes improve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will also support our engineers in conducting studies and drive improvement opportunities by activating FLIGHT DECK in the shopfloor.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview

Assist in the planning and execution of Kaizen Events and Trainings. Support the setup of Flowlines and Andons through the development of Standard Work, Problem Solving and Daily Management. Conduct shop floor observations and collect key data to identify improvement opportunities. Track and analyze performance metrics to drive measurable performance.

Ideal Candidate

Strong communicator who works well independently and engages confidently on the shop floor. Proactive, willing to learn, and enthusiastic about applying Lean principles to drive measurable improvements.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint) #flightdeck
