Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced manufacturing/operator to independently operate mechanical cleaning processes for component repair operations at our Singapore site. The role covers grit blast, peening, tumbling, washing, plastisol processing, and seal removal, with emphasis on safety, process compliance, and accurate documentation.

You will perform pre-checks, maintain log books, and ensure timely maintenance while following standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in blasting, peening, tumbling, washing, plastisol processing and seal removal.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.
• Strong attention to safety, process compliance, equipment utilization and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate grit blast, shot peen, glass peen, tumble, ultrasonic, vapor blast, etching, water flow, washer, blade flusher and related processes.
• Complete pre-checks before operations and maintain accurate log entries.
• Ensure production data are correctly logged and processes meet certification due dates.
• Differentiate between tumbler, shot and glass peening machine usage.
• Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping to maintain safe working conditions.

Role Overview

• Perform grit blast, shot peen, glass peen, tumble, ultrasonic, vapor blast, etching, water flow, turbo jet washer, blade flusher, plastisol injection, plastisol burnout and barrel finishing, honey comb seal removal
• Perform necessary pre-checks before operations
• Ensure all production data are filled in correctly in the Log Book
• Ensure process and certification are in line with due date
• Differentiate the different tumbler, shot and glass peening machine utilization
• Perform daily maintenance checklist and ensure safe working practices
• Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

The Ideal Candidate

Experienced manufacturing/operator candidate skilled in blasting, peening, tumbling, washing, plastisol processing, and seal removal, with strong attention to safety, process compliance, equipment utilization, documentation accuracy, and routine maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experience
• Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure in operating tumbler and peening machines
• Able to perform quality audits and pre-production qualification procedures
• Able to multi task and ensure proper documentation and handling of log booksAble to operate manual and auto grit blast machine
• Discipline and strict adherence to Operating and Quality procedures
• Fully understand process parameters and able to produce good quality parts
• Willing to work in a hot and noisy environment
• A team player
