Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore is seeking a hands-on Production Support assistant to help our manufacturing teams in daily operations, material handling, and documentation. You will assist with equipment setup and preparation, and help maintain data integrity in records.

You will participate in safety, quality (AS9100) and environmental practices, contribute to continuous improvement, and work with engineering, quality, and logistics to keep production flowing efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificates are a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist production teams with daily operational tasks and material handling.
  • Document and maintain accurate production records and logs.
  • Set up and prepare equipment and tools for manufacturing tasks.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting; escalate complex issues.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview

Assist production teams with daily operational tasks, including material handling, documentation, and equipment setup/preparation. Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and tools, escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and databases, ensuring data integrity and traceability. Support the implementation and adherence to safety protocols, quality standards (e.g., AS9100), and environmental regulations. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process optimization and waste reduction. Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to facilitate smooth production flow. Contribute to the upkeep and organization of the manufacturing workspace, ensuring a clean and efficient environment. Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, issuing, and tracking materials and components.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably within the aviation or aerospace sector.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and moving materials as needed.
