Job summary

PaxOcean in Singapore is seeking an experienced pipe fitter to handle pipe removal onboard, templating, fitting and re-installation works on vessels and in our workshop.

You will carry out hotwork such as grinding, gas cutting and drilling, perform pressure testing of spools and systems, maintain safety, and work as part of a cohesive team under the HOD.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant marine/maritime experience.
• Strong knowledge of pipe fittings and pipe welding.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy of pipe fit up and edge preparation.
• Promote cohesiveness within the team.
• Ensure personal and crew safety at all times onboard vessel and workshop.
• Report defects found on tools/equipment to foreman/supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety aboard vessel and workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy of pipe fit up, maintain proper edge preparation and root pass gap.
• Must be a team player and promote cohesiveness.
• To ensure personal safety and others inclusive.
• In due diligence, to report any defects found on any tools and equipment to their foreman/supervisor.
• Always maintain good housekeeping and safety at all the time onboard vessel & workshop.

Key Requirements

• 2 Years above with relevant working experience (Prefer in Marine & Maritime industry).
• Good communication skills.
• Good Knowledge of pipe fittings and pipe welding.
• Competent to provide ideas/alternatives in delivering the assigned work.
• Able to identify problem and take corrective actions.
