H2G Green Limited in Singapore is seeking a skilled Piping Fitter/Welder to carry out fabrication, fitting and welding across piping systems including carbon steel and stainless steel. You will read drawings, prepare components and participate in pre- and post-weld activities at sites or workshops.
The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of piping fabrication, pipe fitting and welding experience, knowledge of hot-work safety, PTW and ready to work overtime or on weekends as required.
A. Piping Fitting & Fabrication
Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings.
Measure, mark, cut, bevel and prepare pipes and pipe components according to specifications.
Carry out pipe fitting, alignment, levelling and positioning of pipes, flanges, valves, fittings and supports.
Perform tack welding and fit-up prior to final welding.
Install and assemble piping systems, including carbon steel, stainless steel and other specified piping materials.
Ensure correct pipe orientation, dimensions, slope, alignment and fit-up.
Carry out pipe spool fabrication and installation at workshop or worksite.
Assist with installation, modification, repair and maintenance of piping systems.
B. Welding Works
Perform welding works using appropriate welding processes depending on project requirements.
Carry out welding in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and project requirements.
Ensure proper welding preparation, pre-heating, welding sequence and post-weld requirements where applicable.
Inspect welds visually and rectify welding defects where required.
Maintain welding equipment, tools and consumables in good working condition.
Ensure proper storage and handling of welding electrodes and consumables.
C. Installation & Maintenance
Install piping, valves, flanges, fittings, supports and associated components.
Carry out piping repair, replacement and modification works.
Assist in pressure testing, leak testing, flushing and other commissioning activities.
Identify and report piping defects, leaks, misalignment or other abnormalities to the supervisor.
Work with other trades, including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams, to coordinate site activities.
D. Safety & Compliance
Strictly comply with company WSH policies, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Risk Assessments and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
Follow hot-work safety requirements when performing welding, cutting or grinding activities.
Ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
Conduct pre-work checks on welding machines, gas cylinders, tools and equipment.
Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses or equipment defects.
Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Comply with applicable Singapore workplace safety and environmental requirements.
E. Quality Control
Ensure all piping and welding works meet approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Check dimensions, alignment, fit-up and weld quality before and after installation.
Cooperate with QC inspectors and support required inspections and testing.
Rectify defective or non-conforming work as instructed.
Maintain proper records of completed work, inspection results and relevant documentation.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in piping fabrication, pipe fitting and welding works.
Experience in industrial plants, oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, marine or process piping would be an advantage.
Able to read and understand piping isometric drawings and basic engineering drawings.
Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, flanges, valves and supports.
Familiar with hot-work safety and Permit-to-Work systems.
Physically fit and able to work at construction sites, plants and in confined or elevated areas where required.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends or public holidays when required by project operations
