Job summary

BAKER ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced piping engineer for marine and offshore projects based in Singapore. You will develop piping layouts, 3D models, isometrics, BOMs and construction spool drawings, and ensure constructability through guidelines.

You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, review technical submittals, and support site investigations to verify existing conditions and new construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical or marine or related engineering discipline; or minimum 6 years in marine/offshore industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping arrangement or piping layout, 3D model on piping system, pipe support drawing, piping isometric drawing including BOM and construction spool drawing.
• Prepare and update piping construction guideline drawings for constructability.
• Understand and able to develop/update piping specifications and piping system weight and centre gravity (W&CG) study.
• Coordinate work and integrate with other engineering disciplines, production, QA/QC & client.
• Check submittals and prepare the installation or construction drawing when needed.
• Perform site visits to solving the engineering problem when required to determine existing conditions or verify new construction.
• Develop and check PFDs and P&IDs such as process piping installation work and marine & offshore industry.
• Coordinate / execute contract specification requirements and production inputs into engineering drawing /document.
• Provide progress reporting and schedule management of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with other production team members, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues onsite which affect the piping schedule and project deliverables.
• Meet with vendors, client reps, accreditation representatives when required.
• Review and reply to class comments.
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company's QSHE policies, practices and procedures at all times

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working in a marine/offshore industry and a Diploma in mechanical or marine or related engineering discipline or minimum 6 years working in a marine/offshore industry.
• Prior experience in newbuild and conversion of AHTS.
• Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements.
• Good communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task.
• A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Able to perform system pipe sizing (e.g. pipe thickness &system pressure drop) and pipe support span calculation.
• Computer literary (MS. Office and Auto CAD), proficient in CAESERII Software will be added advantage.
