Job summary

ITech Consult AG is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 12-month contract in Singapore. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, and automate finance processes using Python, contributing to efficiency and accuracy across AP, AR, reconciliations and tax activities.

The role requires a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and fluency in English. Start ASAP with potential extension based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 15+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations and closing activities.
• Experience with Singapore tax and statutory requirements (GST, WHT, Corporate Tax).
• Practical Python programming skills within finance or data automation.
• Advanced MS Excel and general MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions across sales, purchasing, cash flow, AP and AR.

Job description

Project: To join a leading international client, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 12 month contract. You will support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end activities, combining strong financial accounting expertise with technical skills to improve and automate finance processes using Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions across sales, purchasing, cash flow, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Maintain customer and supplier accounts and perform regular account and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal postings and preparation of account schedules.
• Assist with the accurate and timely processing of payments.
• Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Support statutory tax activities, including GST, Withholding Tax (WHT) and Corporate Tax.
• Use Python to automate data-related tasks, work with financial datasets and improve accounting processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 15 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of financial accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations and closing activities.
• Experience with Singapore tax and statutory requirements, including GST, WHT and Corporate Tax.
• Practical Python programming skills, ideally within finance, accounting or data automation
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong general MS Office knowledge.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and communication skills.
