Job summary

POET Technologies is seeking a Junior Finance Specialist to join our finance team in Singapore. This entry-level role is ideal for diploma holders starting their careers in accounting and finance, including fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of SFRS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of ERP (NetSuite) is an added advantage.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accounts payable and receivable, including accurate data entry of invoices and timely processing of payments.
• Process and update invoices, payment records, databases and spreadsheets.
• Assist in processing staff claims and expense reimbursements.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and payables reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing activities, including preparation of supporting schedules.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors on basic invoicing and payment queries.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of finance records.
• Support statutory audit and tax requirements, and other ad-hoc finance tasks as assigned.
