Job summary

Twin Disc (Far East) Pte Ltd is seeking a Finance Manager who will establish and maintain accounting systems aligned with US GAAP, SOX, and international standards, and lead budgeting and management reporting.

The role requires oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, risk management, and financial analysis, with emphasis on cost accounting in manufacturing. Mandarin-English bilingualism is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• CPA/CA or equivalent preferable.
• 8+ years in financial control roles, with some in a listed US company.
• Experience in sales distribution and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and international accounting standards.
• Cost accounting in manufacturing.
• MS Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
• Experience with JDE and Onestream an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

About the role

The Finance Manager will be responsible to establish and maintain accounting systems which comply with both the USA and foreign accounting principles, tax requirements, SEC requirements and management reporting requirements. The individual will direct, analyze and review the preparation of the annual business plan, LRP, capital plan and operational forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, as well as various analytical reports requested by management

• Manage risk management, insurance and currency

• Analyze financial results and provide guidance to management as appropriate

• Provide management with pricing support, performing various margin analyses

• Provide financial analysis support for Asia development initiatives

• Manage finance team, to include responsibility for their training and development, motivation and performance management

• Responsible for local and USA audit requirements

About you

• Education equivalent to Bachelor Degree

• Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or equivalent preferable but not mandatory

• Eight (8) or more years experience in progressively responsible financial control positions, some of which in a listed USA company

• Work experience in sales distribution and manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and international accounting standards and principles

• Knowledge and experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment

• Computer literate in the Microsoft suite of products - Words, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint and Outlook

• Experience with JDE and Onestream an advantage

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Ability to make presentations

• At least bi-lingual - English and Mandarin fluency
