Job summary

NOVAGATE CLOUD PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our global finance operations in a fast-growing technology company. The role covers financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost and financial modelling, cash flow management, and internal controls.

You will support business expansion, external financing, fundraising, and strategic planning, and work with executives across regions to optimize profitability and capital structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8–12 years of finance and accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a Financial Controller / Regional Controller / similar senior role.
• Experience managing multi-country or global finance operations.
• Experience in cloud, IT services, SaaS, technology consulting, or professional services is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in financial modelling, cost modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Experience with fundraising, external financing, or investor/bank engagement is an advantage.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage, particularly for communication with regional stakeholders, management, investors, and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee global accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, and month-end closing across multiple countries.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis.
• Develop financial, cost, profitability, and commercial models to support business decisions.
• Monitor revenue, margins, operating costs, manpower costs, and overall profitability.
• Support external financing, fundraising, bank facilities, and investor due diligence, including preparation of financial models and business plans.
• Manage global cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, statutory reporting, and internal financial controls.
• Manage external auditors, tax advisors, banks, investors, and other financial partners.
• Support new country/entity setup and establish scalable finance processes as the Company expands.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, MD, and senior management.

About the role
