Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a senior finance leader to manage all Operational Accounting, Group Finance Function and Corporate Accounting, reporting to the Finance Director.

The role also covers treasury, tax, consolidation, and audit coordination, with oversight of subsidiaries in Singapore and China. A Bachelor’s in accounting with ACCA/CPA and 7+ years in distribution or logistics are required; SQL and VBA skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with ACCA or CPA.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in distribution or logistics.
• Experience managing subsidiaries in Singapore and China.
• Knowledge of SQL and basic programming.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including VBA.

Responsibilities

• Financial planning and risk management for the company.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and SFRS.
• Provide monthly management reporting using templates with VB macros and SQL embedded.
• Provide business support and partnership to Division/Department Heads for finance matters.
• Treasury and cash flow management including forex gains/losses and internal controls.
• Tax planning and filing of tax returns and related obligations.
• Analyze trends and KPIs for revenues, costs, and capex.
• Lead quarterly and annual group closing and consolidation.
• Manage finance team and liaise with auditors for audits and statements.
• Oversee subsidiaries' finance functions locally and overseas.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Finance Director, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of all Operational Accounting, Group Finance Function & Corporate Accounting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for financial planning & risk management of the company.
• Ensuring all accounting activities comply with group accounting policies and SFRS.
• Providing monthly management reporting, extracting data from designed and structured templates with visual basics macros and SQL embedded.
• Providing business support, advisory & partnership to Division/Department Heads for all finance matters.
• Responsible for all treasury & cash flow management matters, including forex gain & loss and establishing & maintaining internal controls and financial policies & procedures.
• Responsible for all tax matters, including tax planning & structuring as well as submission of tax returns & related obligations.
• Analysing the current/past trends & key performance indicators including of all revenues, cost of sales, fixed cost, and capital expenditures.
• Executing & leading the process of Group Quarterly & Annual Accounting closing & consolidation.
• Managing the finance team and liaising with internal and external auditors in relation to audit requirements and deliverables, including preparation of audited financial statements.
• Overseeing the subsidiaries finance functions both locally & overseas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy with ACCA or CPA with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience within Distribution or Logistics industry.
• Experienced in managing subsidiaries in Singapore and China and dealing with chemicals & rubber products will be preferred.
• Experienced working in SMEs previously and willing to work in a small team will be preferred.
• Knowledge of basic programming knowledge and SQL is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Access and VBA (Macros).
• Familiar with Microsoft Business Central (NAVISION) & Dynamics 365.
