Job summary

Our Client, an industrial chemicals company, seeks a Finance Manager to oversee the Singapore HQ and regional units in Thailand and Indonesia. You will drive financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis to support business decisions.

You will lead the finance team, strengthen internal controls, ensure compliance with local regulations, and partner with senior management and the Group Managing Director on regional finance strategy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance and accounting operations for Singapore HQ and overseas units in Thailand and Indonesia.
• Manage financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, cash flow.
• Prepare and review management reports, budgets, forecasts, and analyses.
• Provide financial insights to senior management for cost optimisation and profitability.
• Monitor overseas units' performance and ensure consistent reporting and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with statutory tax regulations and accounting standards in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia.
• Lead and develop the finance team and drive digitalisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Group MD on financial strategy and regional operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations for the Singapore headquarters and overseas business units in Thailand and Indonesia.
• Manage financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, cash flow management, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Prepare and review management reports, annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial analysis to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial insights and commercial advice to senior management, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation, profitability improvement, and overall business performance.
• Monitor the financial performance of overseas business units and ensure consistency in financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting practices across the region.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and accounting standards in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant government authorities.
• Review and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, accounting procedures, and operational processes to improve efficiency and governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while driving continuous improvement and finance digitalisation initiatives.
• Work closely with the Group Managing Director and senior management on financial strategy, regional business operations, and other strategic projects.
