Job summary

Future Electronics Inc. (Distribution) PTE LTD is seeking a Finance Executive (System Enhancement) to join a development-focused role rotated across accounts payable, employee reimbursement and other finance areas, building broad end-to-end knowledge to feed automation agenda.

You will assist in planning system enhancements, participate in UAT, document processes, support month-end activities, and help prepare business cases and training materials.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in finance or accounting; fresh graduates with internship experience considered.
• Basic understanding of AP, AR, GL, and expense management.
• Genuine interest in finance systems, process improvement, and technology-driven solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Rotate across finance functions including AP, employee reimbursement, GL and other areas as assigned.
• Document current-state processes, including inputs, outputs, controls and pain points during each rotation.
• Assist in benchmarking current processes against best practices and system capabilities; prepare business cases for enhancements.

Job description

Role Summary

The Finance Executive (System Enhancement) is a junior, development-focused role designed to build a well-rounded finance professional capable of driving process and system improvements. The incumbent will be rotated across key finance functions, including accounts payable, employee reimbursement and other finance and accounting areas to develop first-hand domain knowledge of the company's end-to-end financial processes. Insights gained through this rotation will directly feed into the organisation's system enhancement and automation agenda, supporting the Finance Manager in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Functional Rotation & Domain Learning

• Rotate across finance functions including accounts payable, employee reimbursement, general ledger and other areas as assigned.

• Develop a thorough understanding of the company's end-to-end financial workflows, transaction flows and process interdependencies.

• Document current-state processes, including inputs, outputs, controls and pain points, during each rotation.

• Engage with function owners and team members to gather feedback on operational challenges and improvement opportunities.

Process Improvement & Analysis

• Identify manual, repetitive and error-prone tasks across functions that are candidates for automation or process redesign.

• Compile findings from each rotation into structured process review reports for the Finance Manager.

• Assist in benchmarking current processes against best practices and system capabilities.

• Support the preparation of business cases and proposals for process or system enhancements.

System Enhancement Support

• Assist the Finance Manager in planning and executing system enhancement and automation projects across the finance function.

• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new system implementations, upgrades, or automation deployments.

• Log and track system issues, user feedback and defects during testing and post-implementation phases.

• Assist in the preparation of training materials and SOPs for new or enhanced systems or process flow.

Finance Operations

• Carry out day-to-day finance transactional tasks during each functional rotation, including processing invoices, payments, and employee reimbursement claims.

• Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and internal controls.

• Support month-end close activities as required during rotation periods.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with audit and compliance requirements.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare regular progress updates on enhancement projects and rotation findings for the Finance Manager.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of process flows, system changes and improvement initiatives.

• Assist in preparing management presentations, data summaries, and reports as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 1 to 3 years of working experience in a finance or accounting environment; fresh graduates with strong academic results and relevant internship experience will be considered.

• Basic understanding of core accounting processes (AP, AR, GL, expense management).

• Genuine interest in finance systems, process improvement, and technology-driven solutions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document processes clearly and accurately.

• Intellectually curious, self-motivated, and open to learning across different functional areas.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
