Job summary

Alstern Technologies Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing under SFRS guidelines.

You will oversee AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and cash flow, handle inter-company transactions, and prepare financial statements. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP/Synergix) are valued. Applicants should have a diploma in accounting and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 1 year AP.
• Good understanding of full-set accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Excel; SAP or Synergix experience advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger postings and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.




• Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.




• Handle inter-company transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation and consolidation where applicable.




• Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).




• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.




• Prepare GST submissions, corporate tax computations, and liaise with external tax agents on statutory filings.




• Support the Senior Executive/Finance Manager with financial analysis, reporting, and other ad hoc assignments.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.




• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including at least 1 year of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.




• Good understanding of full-set accounting and financial reporting.




• Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.




• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.




• Experience with SAP and/or Synergix ERP systems is an advantage.




• Able to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
