Job summary

1FSS Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Team Lead for Grant Claims Management within our Finance Shared Services unit supporting healthcare organisations. You will supervise a team, ensure timely submission of claims, and maintain accuracy of grant-related accounts.

The role requires a degree in Accountancy or ACCA, at least 3 years of relevant experience with supervisory exposure, and proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Job description

A team lead responsible for the Grant Claims Management functions in a Finance Shared Services environment supporting healthcare organisations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of staff in the section in handling day-to-day grant-related financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing, including the preparation and/or review of the monthly, quarterly and year end audit schedules
• Responsible for the good quality of the grant-related balance sheet accounts
• Review grant documents and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for grant project accounts
• Review grant variation documents and update relevant project account details
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and prompt disbursements
• Ensure no outstanding items in project accounts and deactivate project account promptly upon expiry
• Review grant-related billings and statement of accounts
• Review incoming grant funds and resolve unreconciled sums
• Ensure no outstanding items in project accounts and deactivate project account promptly upon expiry
• Investigate and resolve user queries
• Responsible for grant-related GST, corporate tax and other statistical submissions
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on grant-related audit matters
• Lead and participate in process improvement projects
• Ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

• At least a Degree in Accountancy or ACCA equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with 1-year experience in a supervisory position
• Higher qualified/experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Finance Executive/Senior Accountant position
• IT savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Hands-on experience with SAP system will be an advantage
• Prior audit experience will be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Able to take pressure and work within tight deadlines
• Meticulous, motivated, committed, resourceful and able to work independently
