Job summary

SAMUDERA SHIPPING LINE LTD is seeking a Financial Application System Specialist to bridge Finance and IT, administering and developing the group’s financial software stack to support accounting and reporting needs. You will streamline processes, ensure data integrity, and deliver insights through advanced reporting.

A strong background in accounting and hands-on ERP/financial tools is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Finance, or Accounting.
3–5 years in system administration or support of financial applications.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong accounting knowledge and data analysis skills.
Advanced Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementation of new financial system in every new entity.
System Administration & Support: primary contact for day-to-day functionality and technical support for financial systems (ERP, accounting software, expense tools).
Trouble shooting: identify and resolve system errors and data discrepancies.
Implementation & Upgrades: participate in implementation and integration, including routine upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements for financial system improvements.
Develop and maintain financial models, databases, and reporting tools.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
Perform regular data/system audits and documentation for data integrity.
Assist in training end-users to maximize system utilization.
Assist in testing, upgrades, and customization as needed.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams on financial system matters.
