SAMUDERA SHIPPING LINE LTD is seeking a Financial Application System Specialist to bridge Finance and IT, administering and developing the group’s financial software stack to support accounting and reporting needs. You will streamline processes, ensure data integrity, and deliver insights through advanced reporting.

A strong background in accounting and hands-on ERP/financial tools is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Finance, or Accounting.
• 3–5 years in system administration or support of financial applications.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong accounting knowledge and data analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of new financial system in every new entity.
• System Administration & Support: primary contact for day-to-day functionality and technical support for financial systems (ERP, accounting software, expense tools).
• Trouble shooting: identify and resolve system errors and data discrepancies.
• Implementation & Upgrades: participate in implementation and integration, including routine upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements for financial system improvements.
• Develop and maintain financial models, databases, and reporting tools.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform regular data/system audits and documentation for data integrity.
• Assist in training end-users to maximize system utilization.
• Assist in testing, upgrades, and customization as needed.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams on financial system matters.

Job Description

The Financial Application System Specialist acts as the crucial bridge between the finance and IT departments. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance and system development of the all financial software systems. This includes design, develop, implement and maintaining all financial applications used by the Finance department in the Group.

Your primary goal will be to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, maintaining data integrity and provide valuable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles with deep technical expertise to ensure our financial applications run seamlessly and user requirements/needs are met. The candidate should have exceptional analytical abilities, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive financial excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of new financial system in every new entity.
• System Administration & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day functional and technical support for all financial systems (e.g.,ERP, accounting software, expense management tools).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Process good knowledge CODA Financial Application
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in system administration, implementation or support of financial applications (eg SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Coda Financials, or Microsoft Dynamics)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
