Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a field service technician in Singapore to maintain and repair Thermal Management products and other contracted systems. You will build rapport with customers, manage schedules, and ensure safe, compliant work practices while meeting maintenance targets.

The role requires NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, plus City & Guilds 2078/2079 in refrigerant handling and a valid Class 3 driving license.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• City & Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling, subscribed to ACRIB.
• Self-starter with ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively.
• Clean valid driving license (Class 3).

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls professionally while on duty.
• Maintain safety and compliance with codes and company policy.
• Achieve a minimum 90% planned maintenance completion rate.
• Keep scheduling teams informed of changes and status of jobs.
• Close tasks in Oracle MFS and complete weekly paperwork.
• Create reports using FieldDB and synchronize data.
• Report leads to the proper department via the correct process.
• Work as part of the service team and support business needs.
• Take an active role in the callout rota.

Job description

• Responsible for maintenance and emergency repairs of Vertiv’s Thermal Management products as well as other contracted systems. He/She is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, sales managers, distributors and others within the field; maintain ongoing communication with scheduling teams and the line/department Manager

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

• Respond in a professional manner to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with established company safety policy.
• Perform all work using good working practice and current codes of practice/legislation relevant to assigned task.
• Assist in ensuring that the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a min 90%.
• Keep scheduling team informed of changes to your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors with the site change form.
• Close tasks in Oracle Mobile Field Service (MFS) daily and weekly paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Create reports using FieldDB system and ensure regular synchronization.
• Report sales or service leads to the proper department via the correct process.
• Support company vision and management decisions.
• Use email and other Office based programs to maintain/enhance communications processes.
• Ensure that all Vertiv processes are followed.
• Keep company vehicle clean and properly maintained.
• Protect all tooling and company property issued.
• Work as part of the service team and support business needs.
• Take an active role in the callout rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 & 2, or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• City and Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling, Subscribed to ACRIB.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-starter, ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively.
• Clean valid driving license (Class 3).
