Job summary

NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide overhaul, testing, and maintenance of Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) at workshop and customer sites in Singapore. You will generate service reports, advise on repairs, and support customers and sales teams to ensure quality and reliability.

Travel to customer sites is required as needed. The role emphasizes safe work practices, strong technical skills, and collaboration with regional teams to deliver high-value

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, repair, testing, or overhaul in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures and reports.
• Strong customer focus, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and service-management software.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, maintain, inspect, assemble, test, and repair PSVs in workshop and on-site.
• Perform pop testing, calibration, setting and functional testing per procedures.
• Create and maintain job cards, service reports and documentation.
• Document findings and update records accurately after service activities.
• Identify parts, propose repairs, and provide technical PSV guidance.
• Conduct site walkdowns and asset audits to evaluate valve conditions.
• Lead on-site overhaul services, valve commissioning, and testing.
• Support witnessed testing with customers, inspectors, and third parties.
• Collaborate with Sales and Asia Pacific Lifecycle Services for site visits and troubleshooting.
• Assist in customer training sessions and technical workshops.
• Provide service at customer facilities including Jurong Island and Pulau Bukom, and other locations.
• Ensure safe, efficient completion of service work and delivery commitments.
• Assist with urgent collection and delivery to support operations.
