Job summary

Emerson Asia Pacific Private Limited in Singapore is seeking a Service Engineer to lead valve servicing in-house and at customer sites, including site walks and implementation. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize control valves and instrumentation, and coordinate with the service team to plan execution and safety compliance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, customer-facing skills, and willingness to travel on short notice.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of control valves, on/off valves, actuators and control/instrumentation.
• Aggressive rapport building with customers, vendors and internal associates.
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills and task orientation.
• Able to travel on short notice.
• Experience in service operation or maintenance (mechanical and electrical) is a plus.
• Possess a Class 3 driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in site survey and site implementation for all valves relating initiatives.
• Troubleshoots valves and control instruments issues at site for customers.
• Works with customer service team to schedule and prepare execution plan for service jobs.
• Conducts valve repair work both in-house and at customers' site when required.
• Works with Final Control Group to generate reports for customers on root cause analysis.
• Collaborates with business unit to address customer challenges and derive solutions.
• Takes initiative to identify site opportunities to create sales leads for Emerson products, services and solutions.
• Ensures compliance with workplace safety rules and PPE usage.
