Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional execution of business unit programmes to meet financial goals and operational targets.
• Prioritise the product portfolio and align resource allocation within the business unit.
• Track and manage OPEX against approved spending targets; ensure budget, financial, and product objectives are achieved.
• Drive COGS reduction and product lifecycle programmes to deliver gross margin, lead-time, and cycle-time targets.
• Own business process creation and continuous improvement; establish scalable operating frameworks across the business unit.
• Coordinate business continuity planning, crisis management, and safety compliance including lab safety practices.
• Partner with the BU General Manager to execute key programmes; may serve in a Chief of Staff capacity.
• Develop and drive cross-divisional and cross-functional programmes.
• Manage and develop managers and individual contributors; build capability and succession depth.

Director, Field Service Operations (Semiconductor Equipment Maker)

Our client — a global leader in semiconductor capital equipment is looking for a Director, Field Service Operations to be based in Singapore.

This is a senior leadership role with accountability for the operational performance, financial delivery, and strategic execution of a defined business unit. The Director will lead through managers, drive cross-functional programmes, and partner with senior business unit leadership to meet and exceed financial and operational objectives.

Responsibilities:

Programme Execution & Financial Performance

• Lead cross-functional execution of business unit programmes to meet financial goals and operational targets.
• Prioritise the product portfolio and align resource allocation within the business unit.
• Track and manage OPEX against approved spending targets; ensure budget, financial, and product objectives are achieved.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in business unit operations or programme management within the semiconductor or capital equipment industry.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex programmes against financial targets.
• Strong financial acumen — OPEX management, COGS reduction, and gross margin improvement.
• Ability to influence and negotiate at senior executive level.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
