Job summary

BSD PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support SMT and semiconductor equipment at customer sites across Singapore. You will perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, calibration, and on-site repairs while coordinating with customers and the sales team.

The role requires travel, ability to work weekends/public holidays, and independent problem solving.

Qualifications

Engineering diploma or professional certificate required.
Minimum 3 years in related field.
Field service experience in SMT/semiconductor equipment preferred.
Willingness to travel overseas and assist on short notice.

Responsibilities

Prepare service jobs and parts quotations.
Submit warranty claims to factory on behalf of customers.
Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
Submit Field Service Reports and technical documents to customers/suppliers.
Answer technical questions with tact and maintain rapport with customers.
Stay up to date with equipment modifications and new systems.
Review and improve technical service procedures over time.
Provide technical training to customers or new staff.
