Job summary

Onto Innovation Southeast Asia Pte. Limited is seeking a field service engineer to install, repair, and maintain Onto Innovation products, including inspection, lithography, and metrology tools across the SEA region.

The role requires hands-on fault detection across electrical, mechanical, and software systems, and frequent travel up to 50%. You will work closely with customers and the US factory to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of Field Service experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Hands-on fault detection across electrical, mechanical, and software.
• Experience in semiconductor applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or related fields.
• Ability to work independently within a team.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain Onto Innovation products including inspection/metrology tools.
• Respond to down-tool situations and provide scheduled maintenance within SEA region.
• Support field operations including system hardware, software, PCs, networking, and related technologies.
• Submit required service documentation and provide technical feedback to the US factory.
• Act as the primary technical and administrative liaison with customers for assigned projects.
• Provide feedback to the Sales team, identifying potential leads and customer needs.
• Support continuous product improvement through service feedback and issue reporting.
