Job summary

Onto Innovation seeks a Field Service Engineer in the SEA region to install, repair, and maintain our inspection tools at customer sites. You will handle down-tool incidents, perform scheduled maintenance, and support hardware, software, PCs, networking, and related technologies.

The role requires 2–3 years of field service experience in semiconductors, strong troubleshooting abilities, and excellent customer communication. Travel up to 50% is expected; a degree in engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Field Service experience in semiconductor industry preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with fault detection in electrical, mechanical, and software.
• Experience in semiconductor applications preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintenance of Onto Innovation products, including inspection tools.
• Respond to down-tool situations and provide scheduled maintenance within the SEA region.
• Support system hardware, software, PCs, networking, and related technologies.
• Submit required service documentation and provide technical feedback to the US factory.
• Act as primary technical and administrative liaison with customers for assigned projects.
• Provide feedback to Sales, identifying potential leads and customer needs.
• Support continuous product improvement through service feedback and issue reporting.
