Role Overview
You will investigate and resolve customer complaints and product failures, and provide after-sales technical support and on-site service to distributors and end customers. The role also covers reviewing and supporting warranty claims from distributors, and taking part in the standby rotation for 24/7 emergency customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, commissioning, and on-site training for customers, in line with the project scope.
- Provide timely after-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and on-site service to keep customers' equipment operational.
- Service and support a wide range of diesel generator sets, from small to large capacity, and provide service and training input to other departments.
- Keep all technical and training documentation current and well organized.
- Deliver targeted training to distributors and dealers on servicing and troubleshooting, so that service quality stays consistently high across the network.
- Maintain close relationships with key customers and follow each issue through to resolution.
- Provide technical assistance during factory testing of special projects.
- Investigate the root causes of failures and recommend corrective solutions.
- Handle the technical side of warranty discussions with customers.
- Take on other service and training duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia regions.
- Collaborative, task-oriented, and a strong problem solver.
- Strong customer service orientation and a genuine interest in power generation products.
- Hands-on experience with engine brands such as MHI, MTU, John Deere, or Volvo is a plus.
