Job summary

Dräger Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Breathing Apparatus to service and maintain critical life-support equipment across customers in Singapore.

You will manage service orders, diagnose equipment, perform commissioning and preventive maintenance, and provide guidance to junior engineers in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in mechanical/mechatronics engineering.
• Hands-on experience in service/engineering roles in process industries.
• Experience with pneumatic and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage service orders from initiation to completion with cross-functional coordination.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Perform commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and warranty repairs.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Prepare technical findings and service reports for customers and teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior service engineers and technicians.
• Engage in service-related projects and equipment enhancement initiatives.

Field Service Engineer - Breathing Apparatus

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned service orders from initiation through completion, coordinating closely with Service, Logistics, and other relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates and support on technical issues, service requirements, equipment status, and delivery schedules.
• Perform equipment commissioning, contract maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs for assigned products and systems.
• Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing equipment downtime.
• Prepare and communicate technical findings, service reports, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to junior service engineers and technicians as required.
• Participate in service-related projects, equipment enhancement initiatives, emergency response activities, and other technical assignments to support business and customer needs.

Position Requirements:

Education Level:

• Dipl. in Mechanical Engineering
• Dipl. in Mechatronics Engineering

Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in service or engineering roles within the Semiconductor, Oil & Gas, or Process industries.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
