Job summary

Dräger Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Portable Gas with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation.

You will manage service orders, perform commissioning and maintenance, diagnose issues, and support customers across Singapore. The role requires expertise in instrument measurements, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment and instrument measurements.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or Process industries is required or highly desirable.
• Marine industry experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned service orders from initiation through completion, coordinating with Service, Logistics, and other departments to ensure timely execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates on technical issues, service requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Perform equipment commissioning, contract maintenance, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs.
• Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore performance.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service requests to minimize downtime.
• Prepare and communicate technical findings, service reports, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to junior service engineers and technicians as required.
• Participate in service-related projects and equipment enhancement initiatives to support business and customer needs.

• Perform equipment commissioning, contract maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs for assigned products and systems.

• Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to restore optimal performance.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing equipment downtime.

• Prepare and communicate technical findings, service reports, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to junior service engineers and technicians as required.

Position Requirements:

Education Level:

• Dipl. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Dipl. in Process Instrumentation

• Dipl. in Mechatronics Engineering

Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in service or engineering roles within the Oil & Gas or Process industries.

• Hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment and instrument measurements.

• Marine industry experience will be advantageous.
