Job summary

HORIBA INSTRUMENTS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Service Engineer to provide hands-on service for analytical instruments. You will install, calibrate, and repair systems across the region, with training and regional career development available.

The role requires travel to customer sites, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation/Controls (or equivalent).
• 2 years of service experience preferred (training provided; fresh graduates welcome).
• Willing to travel overseas to support regional customers; local travel required (own transport preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support for advanced scientific analytical instruments.
• Travel overseas to customer sites across the region for installation, calibration, and maintenance.
• Ensure service activities comply with quality standards, safety procedures, and customer site regulations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service Administration, Regional Technical Experts, and Service Engineers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prepare accurate service quotations for repairs, maintenance, spare parts, and labour.
• Record service reports and maintenance records in a timely manner.
• Communicate with overseas factories and global tech support to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct technical training for end users to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
• Identify service business opportunities, including maintenance agreements and spare parts sales.
