Job summary

Argus Media in Singapore is seeking a Business Developer to drive regional fertilizer strategies across Asia and the Middle East, promote Argus price benchmarks, and expand the regional subscription business in reports and analytics services.

You will build relationships with fertilizer industry executives, engage with brokers, editors, and other stakeholders, and represent Argus at industry events, conferences, and meetings, identifying opportunities to apply Argus insights to client decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in price reporting, supply, trading, and/or analysis in fertilizer markets.
• Experience promoting price indexation, business intelligence or market analytics services in energy or fertilizer industries.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to build long-lasting relationships with executives and organizations.
• Cross-cultural management with focus on APAC, South Asia, Middle East.
• Undergraduate or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proactive and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional strategies across Asia and the Middle East to increase usage of Argus price assessments and grow the regional subscription business in fertilizer market reports and analytics services.
• Support strategic sector objectives; brokers and exchanges relationships and develop Argus-based fertilizer derivatives.
• Build relationships with fertilizer industry executives through proactive engagement.
• Collaborate with editors to develop price assessments and methodologies and new products.
• Understand client requirements for fundamentals data and fertilizer price forecasts.
• Monitor competitive environment and propose strategies to maintain leadership.
• Support account managers to grow accounts and participate in meetings to demonstrate value.
• Represent Argus at industry conferences and speaking engagements.
• Coordinate regional fertilizer strategy with SVP Fertilizers; communicate opportunities and challenges.
• Contribute to white papers, presentations, analyses, and marketing materials.
