Job summary

Nextbeat Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring a cook/chef for our fast-paced kitchen across multiple locations. You will prepare and assemble burgers and sides, maintain quality and presentation, and assist in stock management.

We expect experience in a busy kitchen, knowledge of food safety, and ability to work under pressure including weekends, with strong portion-control skills. This hands-on role offers growth within a supportive team and a dynamic local brand across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to operate grills, fryers, and standard kitchen equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple orders efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Good understanding of portion control and food presentation standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble burgers and side items according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet operational requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety guidelines
• Monitor ingredient levels and assist in stock management to minimise waste
• Support the supervision of kitchen assistants and ensure standard procedures are followed
• Prepare and deliver orders efficiently, especially during peak service periods
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safe and efficient use
• Comply with food safety regulations and kitchen operating procedures
