FILPAL (S) PTE. LTD. is expanding its RF engineering team at our Singapore branch, focusing on design, testing, and validation of RF and microwave systems for core technologies. You will collaborate with hardware, software and mechanical engineers to ensure system-level performance and reliability.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years’ RF experience. Hands-on RF measurement and generation of thorough test procedures will be key to success in this position.
Responsible for the design, testing, and validation of RF and microwave systems that drive core technologies; works closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and reliable RF solutions for products and customers; contributes to engineering initiatives at the newly established branch in Singapore, driving technical excellence in RF system development.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, simulate, and optimize RF and microwave circuits and subsystems (e.g., power amplifiers, filters, antennas, and matching networks).
Conduct RF testing, validation, and troubleshooting using advanced test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
Develop and implement test procedures to ensure product performance and reliability.
Analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and document design iterations.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers to ensure system-level integration and performance compliance.
Support prototype builds, system tuning, and root cause analysis for RF-related issues.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance design efficiency and test accuracy.
Stay updated with emerging RF technologies, tools, and industry standards.
Key Requirements:
1. Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
2. Work Experience
1-3 years of relevant experience in RF design, testing, or validation (fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply).
3. Skillsets
Strong understanding of RF and microwave engineering principles, including impedance matching, S-parameters, and signal propagation.
Hands-on experience with RF simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, or equivalent).
Proficient with RF measurement and characterization equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc.).
Experience in circuit layout, PCB design, or test automation is an advantage.
Analytical, meticulous, and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
4. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of wireless communication standards (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) or radar systems.
