Job summary

CADMUS RESOURCES is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead our carpentry and joinery manufacturing operations in Johor, Malaysia, with support for interior fit‑out projects in Singapore. You will be responsible for production performance, quality, manpower, materials and timely delivery, coordinating with project teams across borders.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, deep technical knowledge of joinery production and the ability to drive schedules, quality controls and cost

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in carpentry/joinery/furniture or woodworking manufacturing.
• 3–5 years leading factory or production operations.
• Strong knowledge of joinery production, machinery, CNC, materials, laminates, hardware and finishing.
• Able to read and interpret shop drawings, technical drawings and production specs.
• Proven experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control and inventory management.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Willing to travel between Malaysia and Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations and ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are met.
• Plan and manage production schedules based on project timelines, priorities and available resources.
• Coordinate with Singapore project, design and procurement teams on production requirements and schedules.
• Oversee fabrication of joinery, cabinetry, furniture and interior fit‑out components.
• Review shop drawings and production drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
• Optimise manpower, machinery, materials and factory capacity.
• Establish and maintain quality‑control procedures throughout production.
• Identify and resolve production issues to reduce defects, waste and delays.
• Lead, train and supervise production supervisors, carpenters, operators and workers.
• Monitor workforce productivity, performance, discipline and skills development.
• Manage material planning, inventory, procurement coordination and stock control.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and operating efficiently.
• Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare regular production, quality, inventory and operational reports for management.

Role Overview

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Wood Technology, Construction or a related discipline.
• At least 8–12 years of relevant experience in carpentry, joinery, cabinetry, furniture or woodworking manufacturing.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading factory or production operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of custom joinery production, woodworking machinery, CNC equipment, materials, laminates, hardware and finishing processes.
• Able to read and interpret shop drawings, technical drawings and production specifications.
• Proven experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control and inventory management.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with cross‑border teams.
• Must be willing to travel between Malaysia and Singapore.
