Job summary

Global tyre manufacturing MNC is seeking an Export Documentation Team Lead in Singapore. The role focuses on handling complex pre/post-shipment paperwork, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to streamline export processes.

The successful candidate will lead documentation activities, maintain records for audits, and train shipping staff on procedures and regulations to minimize risk and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with export documentation: invoices, packing lists, LC documents, origin certificates.
• Strong knowledge of export regulations and trade compliance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of export documentation and compliance.
• Coordinate with shipping, logistics and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze workflows to improve export processes and KPIs.
• Lead and mentor staff on compliance procedures and record keeping.

Title: Export Documentation Team Lead

Location: Bugis MRT

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation & Compliance: Handle complex pre/post-shipment paperwork (commercial invoices, packing lists, L/C documents, certificates of origin, customs/insurance declarations) and manage trade compliance risks.
• Coordination & Resolution: Work closely with internal shipping, logistics, and ICs teams while communicating with external customers to clear discrepancies and streamline export processes.
• Process Optimization: Analyze workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, integrate systems with IT/logistics, and set KPIs to enhance speed, cost-effectiveness, and accuracy.
• Record Keeping & Leadership: Maintain meticulous digital/physical records for audits, and train/mentor shipping staff on compliance and procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in export documentation or international trade.
• Education: Minimum Higher Diploma or professional certifications.
• Competencies: In-depth knowledge of export regulations, strong communication, negotiation, and computer skills, with high attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.
