Job summary

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) is seeking an analytical thinker to join our securities market operations team. You will gain exposure across listing, trading, clearing & settlement, and depository services, including custody, KYC, and market data management.

This is a one-year contract. You will execute procedures, proactively improve processes, and provide timely recommendations in a 24-hour operating environment while supporting SGX's market infrastructure and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with minimum 1–4 years working experience in securities market operations or related banking/brokerage operations.
• Strong understanding of Equities & FICC products and processes (Exchange and OTC).
• Proven track record of accurate execution with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute procedures across listing, trading, clearing & settlement, corporate actions, custodial services, KYC, and market data operations.
• Review and improve processes to maintain high standards of processing and risk management.
• Analyze issues and provide timely recommendations to the manager in a 24-hour operating environment.
• Support and drive completion of projects to develop securities products and platforms.
• Build strong relationships with Members and external stakeholders and support team leadership.

We are seeking an analytical thinker to join our securities market operations team. The ideal candidate will have the chance to gain experience in one or more of the following areas in the securities market value chain: listing, trading, clearing & settlement, and depository services, including custody, corporate actions,SBL and KYC, as well as market data management.

This is a one year contract.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely execution of one or more procedure relating to listing, trading, clearing and settlement, corporate action, custodial services, KYC and market data operations
• Proactively review and improve processes to ensure high standards of processing and risk management in daily operations and project implementation.
• Analyze and provide accurate recommendation to manager for timely decisions in a 24 hour operating environment, when underlying issues and solutions are not apparent.
• Support and drive completion of projects and initiatives to develop the securities products and platforms.
• Deepen the relationship with Members, and other external stakeholders.
• Support team manager and supervisors to build an effective and cohesive team contributing to SGX's success.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder with minimum 1-4 years working experience in securities market operations, including familiarity with banking/broker/share registrar operations, where applicable.
• Strong understanding of Equities & FICC products & processes (both Exchange and OTC)
• Proven track record of accurate execution and an eye for details.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Fast learner.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem solving abilities.
• Strong inter-personal and effective relationship management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
• Knowledge in VBA/ R/ Python language is a plus.
