Job summary

Singapore Exchange Limited invites a group of interns to gain hands-on exposure to the FX, Rates and Crypto business. You will assist in market research, data analysis, and marketing materials, contributing to weekly and monthly market write-ups.

Interns will work on real-time projects, including market microstructure understanding, data mapping for cross-selling opportunities, and exposure to sales and promotional events within a fast-paced exchange environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Good command of English and Mandarin is useful.
• Proficient in Excel (Power Pivot) and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg Excel tools is preferred.
• SQL skills are a plus for data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in FX market microstructure analysis and SWOT review for FX and Crypto derivatives.
• Help with end-of-day Daily Settlement Price derivation analysis.
• Assist with production of marketing material and pitch research.
• Prepare weekly/monthly write-ups of Global macro drivers and FX market performance.
• Support FX sales and marketing events and eDM distribution.

A short overview of the Unit/Team

This unit has global responsibilities for the FX, Rates & Crypto business, and this includes product development, marketing, and product management. It is actively involved in developing and deploying key strategies across all geographies and driving the key sales plan to achieve goals

What the intern can learn during the internship

The selected intern will help with various projects involving the FX & Crypto business and operations. Examples will include:

• (1) Developing an in-depth understanding of FX market microstructure, marketplace and competitions
• (2) Data mining the daily trading volume and open interests, mapping for cross-selling opportunities
• (3) Regular weekly and monthly write-up of the FX market
• (4) Market & Liquidity Analysis: evaluate volumes, OI, volatility, perform competitive analysis across DEX, CEX venues and competing regulated exchanges
• (5) Funding Rate Optimization & Analytics: Analyze and optimize perpetual funding rate parameters. Use quantitative analysis to assess impact on position holders, market makers, flow
• (6) Exposure to Sales and marketing through conferences and promotional events
• (7) Analysis of customer segments’ trading patterns and behaviour

Job Description

• Assist in market microstructure analysis and SWOT review for both FX and Crypto Derivative

Knowledge and Skill Requirements (please indicate if it is a ‘must’)

• Detail-oriented, Good analytical skills
• Good command of English and/or Mandarin will be useful
• Good Excel skills (including power pivot), data and detail-oriented
• VBA skills are preferable
• Experience or working knowledge of Bloomberg, preferably including Bloomberg Excel tools
• SQL skills will be useful although it is not a must
• Interested in Global markets (FX, Rates, Crypto and general macroeconomics)
