Job summary

Singapore University of Social Sciences is seeking an Executive/Senior Executive to support the School of Social Work and Social Development in administering academic programmes and initiatives. You will collaborate with the School Manager, faculty, students, and industry partners to ensure smooth programme delivery and events.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in any discipline with 1–3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong organisational, coordination, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proactive and resourceful team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in higher education administration will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned academic programmes and courses.
  • Coordinate programme administration matters, including student admissions, interviews, enrolment, and student engagement activities.
  • Liaise with faculty members, course developers, teaching associates, external examiners, and industry partners on programme-related matters.
  • Support course development, curriculum implementation, and programme reviews.
  • Manage programme records, documentation, reports, and information updates.
  • Coordinate examination and assessment processes.
  • Liaise with teaching associates, project supervisors, examiners, and relevant departments on assessment matters.
  • Support assessment administration, results processing, examination logistics, and invigilation duties where required.
  • Ensure compliance with academic policies, quality assurance requirements, and audit processes.
  • Serve as liaison between students, faculty, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Programme Advisory Panel meetings and external engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and collaborators.
  • Organise and coordinate programme events, workshops, seminars, talks, student activities, orientations, open houses, and convocation-related activities.
  • Assist in planning and execution of school-wide initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, procurement, payment processing, and resource planning.
  • Monitor and review administrative processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

About the Job

The School of Social Work and Social Development is seeking a dynamic and proactive Executive/Senior Executive to support the administration and management of the School's academic programmes and initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the School Manager, Head of Programme, faculty members, industry partners, students, and administrative departments to ensure the smooth delivery of academic programmes, examinations, student activities, and school events. The role requires a highly organised individual who possesses strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Job Description
Programme and Academic Administration
  • Manage assigned academic programmes and courses.
  • Coordinate programme administration matters, including student admissions, interviews, enrolment, and student engagement activities.
  • Liaise with faculty members, course developers, teaching associates, external examiners, and industry partners on programme-related matters.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of school-wide initiatives
Operations and Continuous Improvement
  • Support budgeting, procurement, payment processing, and resource planning.
  • Monitor and review administrative processes to identify opportunities for improvement and enhanced service delivery.
  • Participate in school and university committees, projects, and initiatives as assigned.
  • Undertake other administrative and operational duties as required.
