Job summary

Cycle & Carriage Singapore is seeking a proactive team member in the Business Excellence & Transformation group to partner with stakeholders across the business, shaping future directions and driving operational change with senior leadership visibility. You will support strategic new business exploration, design pilots, develop robust business cases, and map current processes to co-create to-be designs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in business excellence, transformation, strategy, policymaking, project management or management consulting a plus.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and requires minimal supervision or guidance.
• Strong leadership qualities with influence across teams without direct authority.
• Sharp problem-solving with analytical and structured thinking.
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders including senior leadership.
• Good project management skills; experience designing or running pilots/trials is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting business cases to senior management.
• Exposure to process mapping or Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end evaluation of new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Develop robust business cases, including financial assumptions, projected returns and risk assessments.
• Design and set up pilots/trials with success metrics and evaluation criteria.
• Conduct milestone reviews to decide on scaling or discontinuation and present recommendations to senior management.
• Work with Finance, Business Development, Sales, Aftersales and IT to ensure alignment and execution.
• Map current processes and co-create to-be designs with BU stakeholders to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Drive change management to implement new processes and achieve adoption.
• Track and measure impact against KPIs.

The Opportunity:

You will be a member of the Business Excellence & Transformation team, a small, high-impact team that partners closely with stakeholders across the business to shape the future direction of the organisation - working on new business opportunities and driving operational change that has direct visibility to senior leadership. You will be responsible for supporting in the following areas:

Strategic New Business Exploration

• Support the end-to-end evaluation of new business opportunities and strategic partnerships - from identifying and sourcing suitable partners, through to full business case development
• Conduct competitor analysis and market research to assess strategic fit, positioning and commercial viability of new business ideas
• Develop robust business cases, including financial assumptions, projected returns and risk assessments, to support investment decisions
• Design and set up pilots/trials where relevant, including defining success metrics and evaluation criteria
• Conduct milestone reviews to track pilot/trial performance, and make recommendations on whether to scale, adjust or discontinue
• Prepare and present recommendations to senior management on whether to fully operationalise new business initiatives
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders - including Finance, Business Development, Sales, Aftersales and IT - to ensure alignment and successful execution

Operational Excellence & Business Process Transformation

• Act as an internal consultant to different Business Units (BUs), reviewing existing operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement
• Map current ("as-is") processes and identify gaps, redundancies and inefficiencies
• Co-create "to-be" process designs together with BU stakeholders that improve efficiency, productivity and customer experience
• Drive the change management required to implement new processes, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and successful adoption

• Track and measure the impact of process improvements against agreed KPIs

Industry Research & Best Practices

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices relevant to the organisation's businesses
• Conduct research to generate insights that support strategic decision-making
• Benchmark internal practices against industry standards and highlight opportunities for adoption

The Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in the fields of business excellence, transformation, strategy, policymaking, project management or management consulting a plus
• A self-starter who takes initiative and requires minimal supervision or guidance
• Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes across teams without direct authority
• Sharp problem-solving skills, with strong analytical and structured thinking
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across different levels of the organisation, including senior leadership
• Good project management skills; experience designing or running pilots/trials is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present business cases to senior management
• Prior exposure to process mapping or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
