Job summary

ST Engineering, a global technology, defence and engineering group, is seeking a Materials Planner within its Commercial Aerospace business. The role involves provisioning aircraft spares for inductions, coordinating with customers, production, and planning teams, and expediting critical materials to support on-time delivery.

Candidates should have a diploma, basic data analytics knowledge, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Data Analytics.
• Knowledge and familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
• Possess strong interpersonal skill and a positive attitude to handle challenging customers and resolve tense situations.
• Able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the provision of aircraft spares for aircraft induction.
• Coordinate with customers, production, and planning staff to understand the material requirements.
• Liaise with Production, Customer, Stock Control, Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping and Freight forwarders to monitor and prioritise/ expedite all outstanding critical/ urgent aircraft materials required for the project.
• Attend pre-induction meeting and identify spares that potentially impact the aircraft re-delivery schedule / work stoppage/ disruption to production schedules.
• Responsible for preparing material status/inventory and KPI reports for customer and production.
• Perform review and analysis of frequently used materials for provisioning.
• Responsible for recommending MRP levels and optimising inventory levels.
• Ad hoc material and operational improvement tasks as and when assigned.

• Responsible for liaising with Production, Customer, Stock Control, Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping and Freight forwarders to monitor and prioritise/ expedite all outstanding critical/ urgent aircraft materials required for the project
• Liaise with production/customer to for resolution of long lead-time material demands
• Ensure appropriate approval from customers / management prior to spares procurement and/or check customer's ERP system for stock availability
• Attend pre-induction meeting and identify spares that potentially impact the aircraft re-delivery schedule / work stoppage/ disruption to production schedules
• Responsible for preparing material status/inventory and KPI reports for customer and production
• Perform review and analysis of frequently used materials for provisioning.
