Job summary

Mapletree is seeking an accounting professional to support the supervisor in the team. You will close full sets of accounts, prepare schedules and management reports, and perform variance analysis.

You will liaise with overseas teams, auditors, and other parties while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The role requires a qualified accountant with a degree in Accounting or Finance/Economics, 2–3 years of finance operations experience, and hands-on proficiency

This position will be supporting the supervisor in the assigned team.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure timely closing of full set of accounts, including preparation of schedules and management reports, variance analysis of accounts, bank reconciliation on monthly basis.
• Check and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported in accounting system and file on timely manner.
• Be involved in the preparation of financial statements for audit, handling tax matters, budgeting and forecast, perform credit reviews for potential tenants and suppliers.
• Ensure that all financial records are in compliance with respective local regulatory requirements, internal control requirements, as well as finance policies and procedures.
• Liaise with overseas finance team, inter-department, auditors, and external parties when required.
• Other ad-hoc assignments when required.

Job Requirements

• Qualified accountant with a Degree in Accounting or its equivalent in Finance / Economics.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years’ of working experience in finance operations.
• Someone who is hands-on with good eyes for details, able to communicate effectively to various parties and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software is a pre-requisite and experience with an SAP system would be advantageous.
• Candidates with prior working experience in REITS or public listed companies will have an added advantage.
