XB Consultants, a leading real estate investment business, is seeking an Accountant/Senior Accountant to join its Singapore finance team. The role spans financial accounting, management and investor reporting, tax and treasury across Singapore and the region.

This hands-on position suits an accountant who enjoys full‑function finance work within an investment-led, international environment and interacts with auditors, advisers and management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent preferred.
• 3–8 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Experience within real estate investment or related financial services environment preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
• Good understanding of Singapore accounting and tax requirements.
• Experience dealing with external auditors and tax advisers.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for Singapore and regional real estate investment entities and holding companies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts and management accounts.
• Maintain general ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Account for property acquisitions, disposals, financing arrangements, investment structures and intercompany transactions.
• Work closely with property, investment and asset management teams to ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
• Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and accounting advisers.
• Prepare regular financial and management reporting for senior management, investors and other stakeholders.
• Assist with reporting on property-level and fund-level performance.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support investment and asset management decisions.

The role will have broad responsibility across financial accounting, management and investor reporting, tax and treasury, supporting the financial management of the group's real estate investment portfolio across Singapore and the wider region.

This is a hands‑on position suited to an accountant who enjoys working across the full finance function and is comfortable operating in an investment‑led, international environment.

• Manage the day‑to‑day accounting for Singapore and regional real estate investment entities and holding companies.

• Coordinate Singapore corporate tax, GST and other relevant tax compliance requirements.
• Work with external tax advisers on tax filings, tax computations and advisory matters.
• Assist with tax analysis relating to property acquisitions, disposals, financing and investment structures.
• Monitor tax payments and ensure relevant deadlines are met.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Manage day‑to‑day treasury activities across the Singapore entities.
• Monitor cash balances, funding requirements and intercompany flows.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate payments, banking activities and bank reconciliations.
• Support debt administration, including interest payments, loan schedules and covenant reporting.
• Liaise with banks and internal stakeholders on treasury and financing matters.

Other

• Support finance‑related aspects of acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and new investment structures.
• Work with external administrators, auditors, tax advisers, lawyers and other professional advisers.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, processes and reporting.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects across the wider investment platform.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 3–8 years' relevant accounting experience for Accountant/Senior Accountant level.
• Experience within real estate investment, private equity, investment management, fund management or a related financial services environment strongly preferred.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills.
• Practical experience with tax and treasury/cash management.
• Good understanding of Singapore accounting and tax requirements.
• Experience dealing with external auditors, tax advisers and other professional service providers.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
• Commercially minded, detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a lean, international team.
