Job summary

Bright Youth, a unit of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, seeks a passionate coordinator to plan and run youth activities, workshops, and camps, while expanding community outreach.

You will coordinate logistics, manage communications, collaborate with partners, and support monastery events. Fresh graduates are welcome; bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management or related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience in programme coordination or event management.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong planning, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and digital communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute youth activities, workshops, camps, and community programmes.
• Explore collaboration opportunities with other organizations for more engagement.
• Coordinate logistics, registrations, venue prep, and event operations.
• Monitor programme outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Maintain relationships with youth participants, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee department communications and marketing publicity.
• Support monastery events as needed.

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and committed individual to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with youths, organizing meaningful activities, and contributing to community outreach initiatives.

Your Role:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute youth activities, workshops, camps, and community engagement programmes
• Explore potential collaboration opportunities with other organizations for more youth engagement programmes
• Coordinate logistics, registrations, venue preparations, and event operations to ensure successful programme delivery
• Monitoring programme outcomes for continuous improvement
• Build and maintain positive relationships with youth participants, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders
• Assist in overseeing the department’s communication channels and marketing publicity efforts
• Support and participate in the Monastery event(s)

What You Bring:

• Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Community Development or a related field
• Year(s) of Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in programme coordination, event management or related areas
• Language(s): Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with both English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Required Knowledge/Skill(s): Planning and coordination skills, Communication and interpersonal skills, Proficient in MS Office and digital communication platforms, Time management and organizational skills, Content creation & social media management
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work on weekend(s), public holiday(s) or irregular working hour(s)
