MCI EVENTS & PRODUCTIONS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Event Director focused on sales and business development to drive revenue and lead high-value campaigns.

You will oversee end-to-end event delivery, build client relationships, and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute dinner & dance, corporate events, roadshows, and experiential marketing projects. The role requires 3–5 years in event management with a track record in new client acquisition and sales leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Actively prospect, pitch, and secure new clients to hit revenue targets.
• Serve as the primary client contact from pitch to post-event with strategic solutions.
• Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of events.
• Develop timelines, project plans, budgets, and production schedules.
• Coordinate with departments, vendors, venues, and suppliers for delivery.
• Monitor budgets, quotations, PO’s, pricing strategies, and profitability.
• Oversee on-site operations, setup, live run, and dismantling.
• Manage event logistics, manpower, transportation, and equipment.
• Identify issues early and resolve to ensure successful events.
• Build lasting relationships with clients and partners for repeat business.

Job Opportunity: Event Director (Sales & Business Development Focus)

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development & Sales: Actively prospect, pitch, and secure new clients for dinner & dance, corporate events, roadshows, and experiential marketing projects to achieve revenue targets.
• Client Relations & Strategy: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial pitch to post-event, understanding their objectives, and providing strategic, high-value event solutions.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of secured events from concept to completion.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive event timelines, project plans, budgets, and production schedules.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate closely with internal departments, vendors, contractors, venues, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, quotations, purchase orders, pricing strategies, and overall event profitability.
• On-Site Operations: Conduct thorough site inspections and oversee event setup, live operations, and dismantling.
• Logistics & Manpower: Manage all event logistics, manpower deployment, transportation, and equipment requirements.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to ensure successful event execution.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers to foster repeat business and referrals.
• Post-Event Evaluation: Prepare detailed post-event reports, evaluations, and strategic recommendations for future improvements.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety regulations and company quality standards.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in event management, exhibitions, conferences, dinner & dance or a related industry, with a demonstrated history of client acquisition and sales.
• Project Acumen: Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
